Many AMCs function similarly to large chain stores like Wal-Mart and Target: They maintain a nationwide roster of appraisers, offer a vast but not neccessarily locally applicable array of appraisal services, and focus on volume and low pricing rather than best serving each customer. Furthermore, typical AMC network appraisers accept assignments in geographical areas with which they are unfamiliar and that are outside their area(s) of expertise in order to secure future work by never turning down an assignment. Together these factors can degrade the quality of an appraisal report.
At DFC, however, we assign all appraisals based on our appraisers’ physical location and strictly limit the scope and range of the appraisal services we provide to ensure that clients receive quality appraisal reports.

Technology
Dominant Features Corp takes full advantage of today’s advanced technological platforms automating appraisal reporting and tracking. With the use of Global DMS and Uniform Collateral Data Portal (UCDP), we simplify all of our appraisal management, ordering, tracking, reconciliation, documentation and regulatory guideline compliance procedures. The platform supports multiple LOS systems including: Calyx, providing a mechanism for direct submission of orders. Uniform Collateral Data Portal (UCDP) supports the ability to electronically deliver in industry standard PDF format, MISMO compliant XML via web service technology.
Another outstanding benefit of the Global DMS platform is the “green-centered” waste reducing aspect of their totally paperless environment. All communications, document transfers and reporting occurs electronically, using zero paper, which helps our environment and saves trees!
Within this paperless environment, the entire appraisal workflow is streamlined from the initial order to final completion, ensuring not only prompt service and quality appraisal reports, but interactive communication throughout the whole process.
